Applications are entries in a list anyone can add to, and an application can publish its own entry on chain instead, at which point the list stops needing a maintainer.

A permlink we classify badly becomes a test fixture, and the rule changes until it passes. If a rule forces you to restructure data you already write, that is a bug in the specification and not in your application.
